"Teddy" aka "Mr. Handsome"

Teddy is a male puppy I have kept from my first litter. He is very laid back and a sweet and handsome guy. He adores my little terrier and is a joy to have around. He loves to come with me when I tend to the chickens; he is content to stay in the chicken yard when I leave him there for brief periods by himself. Another thing I like about him is that he is a "talker", always makes some kind of noise to express his feelings. Like his litter mates, Teddy alerts to changes in the vicinity. When I showed him off at work, he was such a polite little fellow, taking all the attention in stride.

At 8 months old Teddy's a little over 29 inches tall. He is as sweet as he is handsome. He has a very loud bark but isn't a nuisance barker; he knows when there is a need to bark. At this point he really prefers hanging out with my male dogs over being with the girls; he is especially fond and gentle with my Jack Russell Terrier Kobi.
Teddy has also been good with our chickens and the goats from the beginning. When he comes along to the chicken yard he plops himself down in the midst of the chickens and is very content to be there. He is happy to stay there until I come and get him.
I recently brought him with me to work again, and he was friendly and social with everybody and made himself right at home.
Teddy's true passion is food. He has perfected the art of inhaling food in record time, and when I filled a "roll-a-treat" ball for him, he figured out how to roll the ball around so that the food falls out in absolute record time\. I have never seen a dog take to that ball in such a short time. I didn't even have to show or encourage him. What's funny to me is that even people who have never met an Anatolian before comment on how handsome he is, and I always reply "that's his nickname."
One year update: Teddy is still a goofy teenage boy. He continues to have a very sweet personality and follows my mature male Great Pyrenees around. Teddy is about 31 inches tall and weighs almost 110 lbs. He is good with the goats and chickens and will stay with them if I leave him in the goat or chicken pen.
He is so easy going and just a joy to have around. I have never had a dog that is as sensitive as he is. When he does something I don't approve of, like messing with my comforter, if I say "that's not funny," he looks absolutely crushed and slinks away. Awwh, then I feel sorry for him and ask him to do some trick so I can give him a hug and tell him what a good boy he is, so he can be happy again.
In obedience class he excels at the down-stays, but he is also very good in just walking right along with me; he makes me look good in class, because he always does what I ask. He ignores other dogs when we are out as long as they don't invade his space. At home he is great with the other dogs; the only one he does not get along with is his brother Prince.
Teddy is truly a sweet and huggable big boy.
